TC Tuites
I’m TC Tuites, author, late bloomer, and lifelong storyteller.
I never imagined that I would be writing a novel at the age of 67, but there are some stories that you just can’t let go of. My debut novel, Night Terrors, was inspired by a mysterious find on one of my walks in the park near my home, and the novel was also written during the summer that I was compelled to slow down in life and listen to the voices in my head.
In the fall of 1969 in a small town in Pennsylvania that borders Red Creek State Park, 12-year-old Billy Walker has a nightmare and can't get rid of the feeling that it was more than just a dream. When he and his friends, the “wild bunch,” discover a pink barrette exactly where Billy dreamt it would be, the nightmares begin to become more than just dreams. As the other members of the group also begin to have visions, something that has been buried and doesn't want to be found starts to awaken in the park. Night Terrors is an exciting story about the friendship and the thin line that separates our dreams from reality.
ABOUT ME
About The Author
My name is TC Tuites. Night Terrors is my first book. I began writing it at the age of 67 after spending an entire summer at home due to three surgeries on my foot. I was unable to walk, so I had no distractions. I just focused on the work, with a story I had been carrying in my mind for years.
The inspiration for the story came from an incident on one of my regular walks with my dog Rocky. While walking at one of the parks near my house, I saw a small child’s sneaker in the weeds by the creek. What would it feel like to find a clue to a mystery, or worse, a murder?
This question became Night Terrors.
I can't remember a time when I wasn't a Stephen King fan. His books have influenced the way I think about fear, atmosphere, and the stories that grab hold of you and never let you go. This is mine, a debut novel that I hope is the beginning of a long second act.
Rocky crossed the rainbow bridge before this book was published. His spirit lives within every page.

Editorial Reviews
Night Terrors by TC Tuites is a haunting, atmospheric debut that pulls you straight into the fear and wonder of childhood and never quite lets you go.
Ava Hernandez
Night Terrors is a masterfully crafted thriller that blurs the line between dreams and reality, leaving you questioning both long after the last page.
